The Sound of Sirens

So I had to go to the emergency room yesterday.

I was at work and I started having very severe stomach pains. This time, though, they were shooting up my back as well.

I thought I could tough it out, but it turns out not so much.

Ron saw that I was hurting and couldn't stand straight, so he went and pretty much told on me.

I tried denying it for a minute, but then I burst out crying.

You know how it is. When you're hurt, and everyone asks if you're okay? You're most definately not, but the simple fact that they need to ask evokes more tears than it probably should.

Anway, my mom drove me to the E.R. I told the doctor about my history of ovarian cysts, and that I thought I might have another one.

He told me it could have been appendicitis. Well that, and he kept insisting that I could be pregnant.

Thank you mister doctor sir, but usually being on your period indicates not being with child. Even I know that.

Anyway, they gave me an IV and stuck me with some anti-pain and nausea drugs. That helped for awhile I guess.

Until it came time to have another CAT scan, which was the main event in itself.

Well, folks, turns out it was another ovarian cyst, just as I had proposed.

The doctor gave me a prescription for Vicidon. I don't believe I've ever been on so serious a drug before. But after spending close to 6 hours in the ER, I was just glad to get out of there with my head still attached.

Other than that, I went to play bingo this evening with Janet. I won $60. Go me!
